Promoting Your Site

Overall promoting of your site:

We do not maintain a centralized index where casual viewers can go look for one or more sites belonging to member photographers.  It is expected that each photographer will promote their site's presence and get the Internet address (URL link) into the hands of their prospective customers as they see fit.

In general, the promotion of one's photography business and/or the business' online presence is a topic that covers many possibilities, and should be thoroughly researched by each photographer, based on the business model they plan on implementing.  Much of this information can be obtained from Internet photography forums, trade publications and how-to books on the subject of running and promoting a photography business.

    • Dance studios
    • Theater groups
    • And the list goes on....
      • Hand out business cards with your web address
      • Have event / tournament promoters use the link in their literature
      • Have your info included with sign-up packets
      • Have assistant work the event/games with handouts/ flyers
  • Team & Individual Sports Portraits
      • Have parents pick our choice from online gallery
      • Sell extra online with fliers that go home with team photo
  • Weddings
      • Have business cards / promo cards on guest tables
      • Have your cards sent out with invitations
      • Have your assistant work the event with cards
  • Studio sales
      • Have promo where subject gets extras for other family members making purchase in the their online galleries
      • Use galleries for proofing
  • School sales
      • Send home fliers

The list is endless... This is just to get you thinking!  How you use your galleries and how you promote your galleries is only limited to your energy, enthusiasm, knowledge, and experience.

Just remember that your gallery is your "storefront" and the more people that get to see your store, the more chance you have of making a sale.
