Split Order Sourcing

One of the most often-asked questions we get is from photographers after a customer inquires about an order that arrived, but only partially.  Of course, this naturally causes concern with the customer when they think that some of their order may have been forgotten.

In almost all cases, it is because an order is being sourced from different locations and arrives under separate shipments.

Please note that on all email order notifications, we do include a warning that states that some orders may originate from different sources and may come in the form of multiple shipments.

There is a way to check on the status of an order and determine whether or not it is sourced from multiple locations.

When you go to that order under Order Details you can click on the link for Order History:

Orderdetail

Once you click on the Order History you will see the following:

Orderhistory
If the order is sourced from multiple locations, you will note that it has multiple indications of:

  • "Sent to printer"
  • "Processing notification"
  • "Order Shipped"

When you see these multiple indicators of each status, that means that the order has been split up into multiple sources.  This will let you assure your client that there is more to arrive shortly.
