Add an "insert" to an order
Shutterbug Storefront offers an option
to add an “insert” to an order. The insert is simply a photo/image that is processed along with your order. It can be one of the following
products:
- 3.5x5, 4x5, or 4x6 prints
To setup the insert, simply go to the Whute Label Settings link off of your admin screen. At the bottom of the print settings you can select
which product you want to insert (from your hard drive), and upload the image file (JPG only).
The file you upload can be anything you want. Like a promotion for a private shoot or a thank you note for the order. You will be charged the base price of that product (shown between brackets on the pull down menu) for each order.
That’s it! From now on, every order will include that insert. It is your way of continually "branding" yourself in front of your customers. Keep in mind that this is a generic setting for all your orders. It is either on or off, and cannot be selected individually on a "per-order" basis.

Creating an insert can be done from Photoshop or most any other image editing program you currently are using. Like any other image with Shutterbug Storefront, you would save it as an sRGB JPG in a resolution and aspect ratio suitable for the image print size you chose. (See above sizes)
Offering inserts also has an added benefit:
Normally, our system keeps your "at-cost" (wholesale) orders separated from your regular orders for tracking purposes. They are normally not listed in with your regular "order reports" list. However, by adding inserts to all your orders, they let the system list your "at-cost" orders in your order reports list.
