Password protection

Password protection enables you to create a password for your gallery that you can then give out to specific customers so that only they may access their gallery.

For example, if you have wedding photos for “Smith Wedding” gallery, you may create a password that could be “May06_Smith”, and anyone authorized to view and purchase those photos would need this password to access the gallery.

To create password protection:

After you log into your site, go to your galleries.  Browse to the gallery that you wish to password protect.  On the menu, go to:  "Gallery > Edit Settings"

In the "General" settings there, you will see a section that says ‘Public Gallery’, where you would choose "No" and  then click on "password."  Once you have done this, you will get a screen with a text box to enter your password, as well as one for a password hint to help you remember the password. Click on ‘apply settings’.  You have successfully created a password for your gallery!

Remember that  once a "parent" gallery is accessed via password protection, that sub-galleries "beneath" a parent also grant automatic access even though they are separately password protected.
