Changing Orders

Changing Orders is usually NOT possible for any reason.  This includes adding to an order, taking something out of an order, or combining 2 or more orders.

A customer is presented with a final approval screen prior to "submitting" the order.  On this approval screen, there is adequate opportunity to edit all of the order information, including purchaser info, ship-to info, items ordered, and shipping method.  Once submitted, this is an approved transaction that is charged to a person's credit card and is for specifically-ordered custom-printed image products.

If an order is still in a "waiting for photos" status because the "display only" workflow being used, there is an opportunity to "change" the order by the photographer in the following manner, where you only have these two options:

1) Cancel (refund) the order and have them reorder...

2) Change the order to a self-fulfillment, and then place the order yourself as an at-cost order, and drop ship (send) to the customer direct.  (this keeps the customer out of the loop, and they'll never be bothered having to resubmit another order..)

You would go into Order Reports, select the "order detail", and there is a link to change to self fulfillment.  The you would place the at cost order yourself, and send it out to the customer's "ship-to" address.

Additionally, this is the place where you would "refund" (cancel) the order if you choose to go that way.

Please keep in mind there will be a $1.00 service charge applied to your Shutterbug Storefront user balance for a refunded order or for an order changed to self-fulfillment.

Once the image files are uploaded to such an order and it passes to the printer, this option is no longer possible.
