Promotional tools include the following:
- Coupons
- Package Discounts
- Reprint Discounts
- Volume Discounts
- Vouchers
Coupons:
These can be either percentage off or a fixed amount. You can enter your own (for one off use) or have us generate a list you can export. Minimum and maximum amounts can be set, and coupons can be limited to specific galleries and/or specific products. There will be a $0.50 fee for every coupon actually used by the customer. You can generate as many as like for free and you can use the coupons for pre-sales if you wish.
Package discounts:
Works similar to the fixed "product packages," except that you can use multiple photos. You set up a fixed price for the package. The use of this discount is free.
Reprint discounts:
This is a volume discount that applies per photo/product combination. Can be percentage or amount and can have multiple layers. For example, you normally sell a 4x6 for $5.99. Using the reprint discount, you can say that the 2nd to 5th print of the same product of the photo
will receive 25% off. Anything more than 5 can receive 50% off. The use of this discount is free.
Volume discounts:
This is an old-fashioned volume discount that can be triggered by amount of products or dollar value. It can give a percentage discount or a fixed amount off. This one is also layered so you can set it up like this as an example:
More than $100, get a $15 discount, more than $200, get a $25 discount, etc.
The use of this discount is free.
All discounts can be limited by product and gallery selection. HOWEVER... The gallery selection comes with the caveat that when one photo gets ordered from a qualifying gallery, the discount will now apply over all products ordered, even if they come from a different gallery.
NOTE! - The 4 basic Promotional Discounts cannot be combined.
This is to protect you, the photographer, from customers "stacking" and having them combined for unintended over-discounting. When an order is eligible for more than one discount, our system is designed to choose the one for the customer that gives them the best deal.
Vouchers:
A product voucher allows a selection of products to be purchased with that voucher, as well as a shipping credit. Applicable tax or excess amount due is payable by credit card.
You can create unlimited vouchers at no cost. When a voucher is used, we will deduct the applicable processing and commission from your sales balance. If your sales balance goes under $25, it will be charged to your credit card on file.
A voucher can be set to expire, not to expire at all, and can also be allowed to be re-usable over multiple orders.
Vouchers have 2 prices:
- a) the retail price credit (purchasing power from your retail prices)
- b) the (pre-sale) discounted cost of the voucher.
Of course, "a" could equal "b", or "b" can be a discounted amount. (a
reward for making a pre-purchase...)
We assess our 10% fee on the discounted ("b") price, as long as it is at
least 75% of the retail price credit. In other words, you could
discount your voucher as much as you want, but we will always assess the
10% on at least 75% of the retail price credit.
The 10% fee and the wholesale cost of the prints are assessed against
your account balance. If there are not enough regular sales in there to
offset them, then it gets charged against your CC on record.
