At Shutterbug Storefront, you get to control when your galleries and images get deleted.
WARNING!
Our system creates links to an image ID from the time it is uploaded for display until the time it is shipped out from the lab. It is necessary for the original display image to be present and maintained in its original gallery place throughout the entire process. This would include beyond the time that the order is shipped.
Should you wish to delete a gallery of images, we recommend the following:
- Check that there have been no orders placed withing the last month with ANY images from this gallery. (Go to "Sell my photos" > "Overview" > "Order Reports")
- Disable the gallery by making it private to your customers. (Go to "Gallery" >"Edit Settings" > "Public Gallery - Yes/No") ... Set this to "No"
- Gallery is now private and can only be seen by the user/photographer after logging in. This will allow any outstanding order involving this gallery to clear through the system. Make a note to delete this after 4-6 weeks from making it "private."
- Note: This includes deleting or moving images as well as deleting the gallery. Do not move images into another gallery if you suspect there are orders pending. As an alternative, copy the images into another gallery if necessary.
Note: We recommend that you keep all image links in tact for at least 1 month after the last order has shipped. This is in the event there are reprints necessary. (On the rare occasion that something is lost in transit)
