There are a variety of ways that you can help to keep your images safe. These include password protecting your galleries, uploading in lower resolution jpg format for viewing purposes, enabling the right click protection on your account settings and most importantly, watermarking your photos. Nothing is completely foolproof for keeping an expert from stealing your images, (though uncommon when protections are put in place) which is why we highly recommend watermarking your photos.
Watermarking :
We offer you the ability to do 2 different types of watermarking:
- Text - based watermark
- Image - based watermark
Off of your main administrative page, look under:
"Gallery setup > Image protection / watermarking"
There, you have the option to enter a text based watermark, where you type in what the watermark will say. Or, if you choose, you can upload a transparent PNG image file to be used as your watermark.
Remember, if the watermark is being applied AFTER the gallery is already uploaded, you must regenerate the images in that gallery for the display to use the watermark.
